State/UT-wise Percentage of Secondary Schools with Electricity during 2015-16

An increasing trend has been observed in India in Percentage of Secondary Schools with Electricity during 2013-14 to 2015-16. Secondary Schools with Electricity in India were 75.08%, 77.55% and 81.5% during 2013-14, 2014-15 and 2015-16 respectively.

Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, Goa, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Nagaland, Punjab and Tamil Nadu are the States/UTs which had 100% Secondary Schools with Electricity during 2015-16.

Six States/UTs viz. Karnataka (99.99%), Gujarat (99.74%), Maharashtra (94.58%), Rajasthan (91.67%), Andhra Pradesh (91.3%) and Mizoram (89.92%) are seen above the National value 81.5% during 2015-16. Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Delhi, Haryana, Lakshadweep, Puducherry, Sikkim, Telangana, Tripura and West Bengal are the States/UTs which had 0% Secondary Schools with Electricity during 2015-16.

The remaining States/UTs namely Manipur, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Assam, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, Meghalaya, Odisha and Uttar Pradesh which laid between 40% to 70.21% of Secondary Schools with Electricity during 2015-16.
