State/UT-wise Percentage of Primary Schools with Electricity during 2015-16

Increasing trend has been seen in India in Percentage of Primary Schools with Electricity from 46.38% in 2013-14 to 52.4 % in 2015-16.

Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, Delhi, Lakshadweep and Puducherry have 100% Primary Schools having Electricity during 2015-16.

Jharkhand has lowest Percentage of Primary Schools with Electricity 9.3% in 2015-16 in comparison with other States/UTs.

Thirteen States/UTs viz. Uttar Pradesh, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Jammu And Kashmir, Meghalaya, Odisha, Tripura, Manipur, Assam, Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand are below the National value 52.4% during 2015-16.
