State/UT-wise goat slaughtered during 2007-12

India has witnessed an increasing trend in goat slaughtered during 2007-2012. In 2007-08, goat slaughtered was 77328 Thousand across the country, which increased to 85865 Thousand in 2011-12. Highest goat slaughtered (30622 Thousand) was in West Bengal in 2011-12 followed by 30548 Thousand in in 2007-08 as compared to other states. The lowest goat slaughtered (2 Thousand) was in Goa in 2007-08 and Sikkim in 2011-12 as compared to other states.

Note: Sikkim and Delhi figures of year 2011-12 is estimated based on previous year data calculated by annual growth of year 2010-11; Sikkim last reported figure of 2009-10 has been repeated for 2010-11.
