State-wise Production of Magnesite in India from 2015-16 to 2017-18

Production of Magnesite was 327663 tonne in India during 2015-16. It has decreased by -8.7% during 2016-17 over 2015-16. We have seen annual de-growth of -34.8% in production of Magnesite in India to 195033 tonne during 2017-18 versus 299149 tonne during 2016-17. In value term it was Rs. 827072 thousand, Rs. 749297 thousand and Rs. 503919 thousand from 2015-16 to 2017-18 respectively.

Three states were there in India where Magnesite was produced during 2015-16 to 2017-18; the names of those states were Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Uttarakhand. Magnesite production in Karnataka was 8419 tonne during 2017-18, up by 0.33% versus 8391 tonne during 2016-17; whereas it was 8161 tonne during 2015-16. Its value was Rs. 39962 thousand, Rs. 34997 thousand and Rs. 43120 thousand during 2015-16 to 2017-18.

Production of Magnesite was 264913 tonne in Tamil Nadu during 2015-16. It has decreased by -15.67% to 223406 tonne during 2016-17 over 2015-16. Annual decline of -45.21% has been found in production of Magnesite in Tamil Nadu to 122408 tonne during 2017-18 in comparison to 2016-17.

Magnesite production in Uttarakhand was 54589 tonne, 67352 tonne and 64206 tonne from 2015-16 to 2017-18 respectively. We have seen annual growth of 23.38% and -4.67% in production of Magnesite in Uttarakhand during 2016-17 and 2017-18 respectively over its previous year. In value term it was Rs. 81792 thousand, Rs. 91216 thousand and Rs. 98172 thousand during 2015-16 to 2017-18 respectively.
