State-wise Per capita plan expenditure during 2007-08 to 2012-13

Per capita Plan Expenditure of India has witnessed an increasing trend during 2007-2008 to 2012-2013. Across the country; Per capita Plan Expenditure was Rupees 2077.6 in 2007-08, which increased to Rupees 3597.3 in 2012-13. Sikkim had highest Per capita Plan Expenditure of Rs 14232.5 in 2007-08 and Rs 26611.3 in 2012-13 as compared to other states. Punjab had lowest Per capita Plan Expenditure of Rs 1121.8 in 2007-08 and Rs 1610.9 in 2012-13 as compared to other states.

Six States viz. Punjab, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Assam and Kerala were observed Plan Expenditure of Rupees 1610.9, 2476.9, 2752.3, 2844.2, 2926.8 and 3398.4 respectively, below the National Per capita Plan Expenditure of Rupees 3597.3 in 2012-13.
