State-wise active Public Companies in 2014

This visualization is having the insight of State-wise active Public Companies in 2014. In India, 952433 companies were active. In which, 888430 (93.28%) were private companies and 64003 (6.72%) were public companies.

Top 10 India States that hold higher number of public companies were Maharashtra, Delhi, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Punjab and Madhya Pradesh.

In Maharashtra, 11870 public companies were active i.e. 18.55% of public companies in India. In Delhi, 11791 public companies were active i.e. 18.42% of public companies in India. In West Bengal, 10671 public companies were active i.e. 16.67% of public companies in India. In Tamil Nadu, 4990 public companies were active i.e. 7.80% of public companies in India. In Andhra Pradesh, 3942 public companies were active i.e. 6.16% of public companies in India. In Gujarat, 3920 public companies were active i.e. 6.12% of public companies in India. In Uttar Pradesh, 3017 public companies were active i.e. 4.71% of public companies in India. In Karnataka, 1978 public companies were active i.e. 3.09% of public companies in India. In Punjab, 1757 public companies were active i.e. 2.75% of public companies in India. In Madhya Pradesh, 1499 public companies were active i.e. 2.34% of public companies in India.
