Total of 364.28.23 lakh women were provided employment under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (Mahatma Gandhi NREGS) during 2021-22 (as on 03.08.2021). The top 10 States in terms of employment provided under Mahatma Gandhi NREGS were Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar.
