State/UT-wise Vacant Posts of Elementary School Teachers by State Govt. in Govt. Management Schools during 2018-19

There were 530,252 vacant posts of elementary school teachers by state government in government management schools in India during 2018-19. The top 5 States/UTs with respect to vacancies of elementary school teachers by state govt. in govt. management schools during 2018-19 were Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand.

The number of vacancies of elementary school teachers was 227,725 by state govt. in govt. management schools in Uttar Pradesh during 2018-19, which accounted 42.95% of the total vacant posts of elementary school teachers by state govt. in govt. management schools in India. There were 82,378 vacant posts of elementary school teachers by state govt. in govt. management schools in Bihar during 2018-19. It accounted 15.54% of the total vacancies of elementary school teachers by state govt. in govt. management schools in India during the same period. The number of vacant posts of elementary school teachers was 31,967 by state govt. in govt. management schools in Madhya Pradesh during 2018-19, which accounted 6.03% of the total vacancies of elementary school teachers by state govt. in govt. management schools in India.

During 2018-19, there were 24,304 and 24,214 vacancies of elementary school teachers by state govt. in govt. management schools in Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand respectively. Chhattisgarh accounted for 4.58% and Jharkhand accounted for 4.57% of the total vacant posts of elementary school teachers by state govt. in govt. management schools in India during 2018-19.
