State/UT-wise Total Contributions under National Pension System (NPS) during 2022-23

The graph represents the State/UT-wise total contributions under National Pension System (NPS) during 2022-23 (up to 28-02-2023). The National Pension System (NPS) is a defined-contribution pension system in India regulated by Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA). The pension system is designed to provide financial security and retirement income to all citizens. The data reveals that the highest amount deposited in the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) is from Maharashtra, with a value of Rs. 11,345.7 Crore, followed by Uttar Pradesh (Rs. 9,883.49 Crore), Madhya Pradesh (Rs. 6,603.3 Crore), and Karnataka (Rs. 3,620.17 Crore). The lowest contribution is from Tamil Nadu with a total of Rs. 9.08 Crore.
