The primary objective of the Common Service Centre (CSC) is to provide e-governance services within the reach of the citizen, by creating the physical service delivery ICT infrastructure. It helps in making a transparent service delivery mechanism and eliminating citizens’ effort in visiting government offices. The number of CSCs to be set up in various States/UTs of India would be 242571 by December 2019. The top 5 States/UTs in terms of Target of number of Gram Panchayats to be covered with CSCs by December 2019 would be Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh.
Target of number of Gram Panchayats to be covered with CSCs in Uttar Pradesh would be 51914 by 2019. It would account 21.4% of the total number of Gram Panchayats to be covered with CSCs in India by 2019. Target of number of Gram Panchayats to be covered with CSCs in Maharashtra would be 27920 by 2019, which would account 11.51% of the total number of Gram Panchayats to be covered with CSCs in India by 2019. Target of number of Gram Panchayats to be covered with CSCs in Madhya Pradesh would be 23012 by 2019. It would account 9.49% of the total number of Gram Panchayats to be covered with CSCs in India by 2019.
Target of number of Gram Panchayats to be covered with CSCs in Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh would be 13735 and 12833 respectively by 2019. Gujarat would account for 5.66% of the total number of Gram Panchayats to be covered with CSCs in India by 2019. Andhra Pradesh would account for 5.29% of the total number of Gram Panchayats to be covered with CSCs in India by 2019.
