State/UT-wise Sub Centres in India as on 31st March, 2017

In India there were 156231 Sub Centres as on 31st March, 2017. The top 5 States/UTs in terms of highest number of Sub Centres in India as on 31st March, 2017 were Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, West Bengal and Bihar.

There were 20521 Sub Centres in Uttar Pradesh as on 31st March, 2017. It accounted 13.14% of total number of Sub Centres in India as on 31st March, 2017. There were 14406 Sub Centres in Rajasthan as on 31st March, 2017. It accounted 9.22% of total number of Sub Centres in India as on 31st March, 2017. There were 10580 Sub Centres in Maharashtra as on 31st March, 2017. It accounted 6.77% of total number of Sub Centres in India as on 31st March, 2017.

There were 10369 Sub Centres in West Bengal as on 31st March, 2017; which accounted 6.64% of total number of Sub Centres in India. There were 9949 Sub Centres in Bihar as on 31st March, 2017; which accounted 6.37% of total number of Sub Centres in India.

The above mentioned top 5 states accounted for 42.13% of the total number of Sub Centres in India as a whole as on 31st March, 2017.

Note: For Arunachal Pradesh, Out of 588 total 312 Sub Centres are functional in the State; For Tamil Nadu, Out of Total 1835 PHCs 1362 PHCs are functioning in Rural areas, while 473 are in urban areas; Old name of district Gurugram was Gurgaon; Old name of district Nuh was Mewat; NA: Not Available.
