In India there were 156231 Sub Centres as on 31^st March, 2017. The top 5 States/UTs in terms of highest number of Sub Centres in India as on 31^st March, 2017 were Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, West Bengal and Bihar.

There were 20521 Sub Centres in Uttar Pradesh as on 31^st March, 2017. It accounted 13.14% of total number of Sub Centres in India as on 31^st March, 2017. There were 14406 Sub Centres in Rajasthan as on 31^st March, 2017. It accounted 9.22% of total number of Sub Centres in India as on 31^st March, 2017. There were 10580 Sub Centres in Maharashtra as on 31^st March, 2017. It accounted 6.77% of total number of Sub Centres in India as on 31^st March, 2017.

There were 10369 Sub Centres in West Bengal as on 31^st March, 2017; which accounted 6.64% of total number of Sub Centres in India. There were 9949 Sub Centres in Bihar as on 31^st March, 2017; which accounted 6.37% of total number of Sub Centres in India.
