State/UT-wise Solar Power Projects/Systems installed as on 30.11.2016

As on 30.11.2016, Solar Power Projects/Systems installed was 8970.03 megawatt in India. The top 5 States/UTs in terms of Solar Power Projects/Systems installed were Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana as on 30.11.2016.

Solar Power Projects/Systems installed was 1590.97 megawatt in Tamil Nadu as on 30.11.2016. It accounted for 17.7% of the total Solar Power Projects/Systems installed in India as on 30.11.2016. Solar Power Projects/Systems installed was 1317.64 megawatt in Rajasthan as on 30.11.2016, which accounted 14.7% of the total Solar Power Projects/Systems installed in India as on 30.11.2016. Solar Power Projects/Systems installed was 1158.5 megawatt in Gujarat as on 30.11.2016. It accounted for 12.9% of the total Solar Power Projects/Systems installed in India as on 30.11.2016.

As on 30.11.2016, Solar Power Projects/Systems installed was 979.65 megawatt and 973.41 megawatt in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana respectively. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana accounted for 10.9% each of the total Solar Power Projects/Systems installed in India as on 30.11.2016.

There were eleven States/UTs namely Manipur, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Puducherry, Goa, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Lakshadweep which were seen below 1 megawatt Solar Power Projects/Systems installed in each as on 30.11.2016.

The above mentioned top 5 States/UTs accounted for 67.1% of the total Solar Power Projects/Systems installed in India as a whole as on 30.11.2016.
