State/UT-wise Power Generated from Various Renewable Energy (including Large Hydro) Sources during 2022-23

This map illustrates the electricity generated from renewable energy sources in states/UTs during the period of 2022-23 (up to Jan 2023).
A total of 3,16,754.86 MU of renewable energy, including large hydro, is generated in India. According to data, the top five states in terms of renewable energy generation are Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Tamil Nadu. Himachal Pradesh leads with a total generation of 38,509.23 MU, followed closely by Karnataka with 35,632.02 MU. Rajasthan occupies the third spot with a generation of 34,681.59 MU, while Gujarat and Tamil Nadu have values of 30,876.24 MU and 29,607.11 MU, respectively. Whereas Lakshadweep, a union territory, represents the region with the least amount of renewable energy, with a value of 0.09 MU.
