State/UT-wise Physicians at Community Health Centres as on 31st March 2017

There were 864 Physicians in Position at Community Health Centres (CHCs) in India as on 31st March 2017. The top 5 States/UTs in terms of maximum number of Physicians in Position at CHCs in India as on 31st March 2017 were Rajasthan, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh.

The number of Physicians in Position at CHCs in Rajasthan was 189 as on 31st March 2017. It accounted 21.88% of the total number of Physicians in Position at CHCs in India as on 31-03-2017. The number of Physicians in Position at CHCs in Karnataka was 106 as on 31st March 2017. It accounted 12.27% of the total number of Physicians in Position at CHCs in India as on 31-03-2017. The number of Physicians in Position at CHCs in Uttar Pradesh was 103 as on 31st March 2017. It accounted 11.92% of the total number of Physicians in Position at CHCs in India as on 31-03-2017.

There were 58 Physicians in Position at CHCs in Odisha as on 31st March 2017, which accounted 6.71% of the total Physicians in Position at CHCs in India. There were 56 Physicians in Position at CHCs in Andhra Pradesh as on 31st March 2017, which accounted 6.48% of the total Physicians in Position at CHCs in India. As on 31st March 2017, there were 8 States/UTs which had 0 (zero) Physicians in Position at CHCs viz., Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, A & N Island, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, Delhi and Lakshadweep.
