There were 864 Physicians in Position at Community Health Centres (CHCs) in India as on 31^st March 2017. The top 5 States/UTs in terms of maximum number of Physicians in Position at CHCs in India as on 31^st March 2017 were Rajasthan, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh.

The number of Physicians in Position at CHCs in Rajasthan was 189 as on 31^st March 2017. It accounted 21.88% of the total number of Physicians in Position at CHCs in India as on 31-03-2017.
