State/UT-wise Per Capita Consumption of Petroleum Products from 2014-15 to 2018-19

Per capita consumption of petroleum products was 157.3 kg in India during 2018-19, up by 7.6 kg against 149.7 kg during 2017-18.

The States/UTs which has been observed above the national per capita consumption of 157.3 kg during 2018-19 were Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, Andaman & Nicobar, Goa, Puducherry, Haryana, Chandigarh, Gujarat, Delhi, Punjab, Lakshadweep, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Kerala, Maharashtra, Arunachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Meghalaya, Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh.

Per capita consumption of petroleum products was 1,160.5, 909.7 and 558 kg in Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu and Andaman & Nicobar respectively during 2018-19. We have found annual growth by -9.2 kg, -59.7 kg and 27.1 kg in per capita consumption of petroleum products in Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu and Andaman & Nicobar respectively during 2018-19 above 2017-18.

Bihar has been seen with per capita consumption of 50.5 kg; below the national per capita consumption of petroleum products during 2018-19 followed by Tripura, Nagaland, Assam, Manipur, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Mizoram and Odisha. Per capita consumption of petroleum products was 64 kg in Tripura and 77.9 kg in Nagaland during 2018-19.
