State/UT-wise Number of Sub Centres required in Tribal Areas as on 31st March 2017

There was a requirement of 31273 Sub Centres in Tribal Areas of India as on 31st March 2017, whereas the number of Sub Centres in Position in Tribal Areas of India was 28200. The top 5 States/UTs in terms of number of Sub Centres required in Tribal Areas as on 31st March 2017 were Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Rajasthan and Gujarat.

The number of Sub Centres required in Tribal Areas of Madhya Pradesh was 4758 as on 31st March 2017. It accounted 15.21% of the total Sub Centres required in Tribal Areas of India as on 31-03-2017. There were 2952 Sub Centres in Position in Tribal Areas of Madhya Pradesh as on 31-03-2017. There was a requirement of 3002 Sub Centres in Tribal Areas of Maharashtra as on 31st March 2017, which accounted 9.6% of the total Sub Centres required in Tribal Areas of India. There were 2057 Sub Centres in Position in Tribal Areas of Maharashtra as on 31-03-2017. The number of Sub Centres required in Tribal Areas of Odisha was 2998 as on 31st March 2017. It accounted 9.59% of the total Sub Centres required in Tribal Areas of India as on 31-03-2017. There were 2689 Sub Centres in Position in Tribal Areas of Odisha as on 31-03-2017.

The number of Sub Centres required in Tribal Areas of Rajasthan was 2897 and Gujarat was 2673 as on 31st March 2017. Rajasthan and Gujarat accounted for 9.26% and 8.55% respectively of the total Sub Centres required in Tribal Areas of India as on 31-03-2017. There were 1658 and 2775 Sub Centres in Position in Tribal Areas of Rajasthan and Gujarat respectively as on 31-03-2017.

The above mentioned top 5 states accounted for 52.21% of the total number of Sub Centres required in Tribal Areas of India as a whole as on 31st March 2017.
