In the current financial year 2024-25 (as on 05.08.2024), a total number of 23,64,027 job cards have been deleted for the following reasons: (i) fake job card (incorrect job card), (ii) duplicate job card, (iii) not willing to work, (iv) family shifted from Gram Panchayat permanently and (v) single person in job card and he/she has expired.
The graph shows State/ UT-wise number of job cards deleted under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS) during 2024-25 (as on 05-08-2024). The Top 10 State/UT in terms of total number of job cards deleted under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS) were Tamil Nadu, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Assam, Odisha, Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Telangana and Rajasthan.
