This chart shows information about the State/UT-wise identified capacity status of hydro electric power for projects with capacity above 25 MW as on 28-02-2023. The total capacity was 1,45,320 MW. The top 10 State/UT in terms of identified capacity were Arunachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Sikkim, Kerala, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, and Odisha. Note: In addition to above 8 Pumped Storage Projects (PSPs) having a capacity of 4745.6 MW are under operation and 4 PSPs having a capacity of 2780 MW are under construction.
