Fund released under Integrated Child Protection Scheme (ICPS) was Rs. 52469.95 lakh in India during 2017-18, up by 3.19% against Rs. 50847.97 lakh during 2016-17; whereas it was Rs. 43892.1 lakh during 2015-16. The top 5 States/UTs in terms of fund released under ICPS during 2017-18 were West Bengal, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh.
Fund released under ICPS for West Bengal was Rs. 5073.56 lakh during 2017-18, which accounted 9.67% of the total fund released in India under ICPS during the same year. Annual decline of -24.99% has been observed in fund released under ICPS for West Bengal from Rs. 6763.87 lakh during 2016-17. Amount of fund released under ICPS for Rajasthan was Rs. 4752.3 lakh during 2017-18; whereas it was Rs. 0 lakh during 2016-17. It accounted 9.06% of the total fund released in India under ICPS during 2017-18. Fund released under ICPS for Karnataka was Rs. 3272.45 lakh during 2017-18, which accounted 6.24% of the total fund released in India under ICPS during the same year. We have seen annual de-growth of -12.05% in fund released under ICPS for Karnataka versus Rs. 3720.8 lakh during 2016-17.
Amount of fund released under ICPS for Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh was Rs. 3262.77 lakh and Rs. 3181.97 lakh respectively during 2017-18. Annual growth of 30.31% and 502.91% has been observed in fund released under ICPS for Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh respectively during 2017-18 over 2016-17.
