The total expenditure was Rs.5,61,575.25 lakh for Samagra Shiksha (Elementary Education). The top 10 state/UT in terms of expenditure were Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Bihar, Assam, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Chhattisgarh, and Telangana.
