This chart shows information about the State/UT-wise details of entities recognized as Start-ups by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) from 2020 to 2023 (as on 28 February 2023). The total of 67,223 entities were recognized as Start-ups by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT). The top 10 State/UT in terms of Entities Recognized as Start-ups by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) were Maharashtra, Delhi, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Haryana, Telangana, Kerala, and West Bengal.
