State/UT-wise Central share released under Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) from 2014-15 to 2017-18

The total amount released by Centre was Rs. 3968.88 crore under Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) (SBM (G)) during 2017-18 (upto 20-07-2017). We have observed an annual growth of 65.95% in total amount released by Centre under SBM (G) to Rs. 10559.58 crore during 2016-17 versus Rs. 6362.96 crore during 2015-16. The top 5 States/UTs in terms of amount released by Centre under SBM (G) during 2017-18 (upto 20-07-2017) were Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Assam.

The Central share released for Uttar Pradesh was Rs. 520.98 crore under SBM (G) during 2017-18 (upto 20-07-2017). It accounted 13.13% of the total amount released by Centre under SBM (G) during 2017-18 (upto 20-07-2017). An annual growth of 103.99% has been seen in amount released by Centre for Uttar Pradesh under SBM (G) from Rs. 565.39 crore during 2015-16 to Rs. 1153.33 crore during 2016-17. The Central share released for Maharashtra was Rs. 477.66 crore under SBM (G) during 2017-18 (upto 20-07-2017). It accounted 12.04% of the total amount released by Centre under SBM (G) during 2017-18 (upto 20-07-2017). An annual de-growth of -6.79% has been seen in amount released by Centre for Maharashtra under SBM (G) from Rs. 567.45 crore during 2015-16 to Rs. 528.94 crore during 2016-17.

The amount released by Centre for Madhya Pradesh was Rs. 369.56 crore under SBM (G) during 2017-18 (upto 20-07-2017), which accounted 9.31% of the total amount released by Centre under SBM (G) during this period. The amount released by Centre for Chhattisgarh was Rs. 320.74 crore under SBM (G) during 2017-18 (upto 20-07-2017), which accounted 8.08% of the total amount released by Centre under SBM (G) during this period. The amount released by Centre for Assam was Rs. 300.65 crore under SBM (G) during 2017-18 (upto 20-07-2017), which accounted 7.58% of the total amount released by Centre under SBM (G) during this period. Annual growth of 223.45%, 303.86% and 57.63% has been found in amount released by Centre for Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Assam respectively under SBM (G) during 2016-17 over 2015-16.
