The horizontal bar graph indicates the State/UT-wise fund allocated under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) during 2022-23 (as on 1st January 2023). Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) is envisioned to provide safe and adequate drinking water through individual household tap connections by 2024 to all households in rural India. On 15th August 2019, the Government of India, in partnership with States, announced Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) – Har Ghar Jal. The leading states in terms of funds allocated are Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, West Bengal and Assam. Among these states, Rajasthan receives the highest funding (valued at Rs. 13,328.6 Crore) followed by Uttar Pradesh with a funding of Rs. 12,662.05 Crore, Maharashtra claims the third position with a fund allocation of Rs. 7,831.25 Crore, while West Bengal and Assam have funding values of Rs. 6,180.25 and Rs. 6,117.61 Crore respectively. Andaman and Nicobar Islands represent the union territory with the minimum fund allocation valued at Rs. 9.15 Crore.
