This chart provides a detailed overview of the State/UT-wise Central Assistance Fund released under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban (PMAY-U) from from 2021-22 to 2024-25 (as of July 15, 2024). The total financial support allocated under the scheme amounted to Rs. 68,401.26 crore.
Among all States and Union Territories, the top 10 recipients of Central Assistance were Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Karnataka, and Chhattisgarh. These states received the highest share of funds, reflecting their active implementation of the PMAY-U scheme to promote affordable housing for urban residents.
