State/UT-wise Beneficiaries covered under Ujjawala Scheme for Rehabilitating Victims of Trafficking during 2014-15 to 2018-19

The number of beneficiaries covered under Ujjawala scheme for rehabilitating victims of trafficking in India was 5497 during 2018-19, down by -58 basis points versus 5529 during 2017-18. Whereas it has decreased by -10.46% during 2017-18 above 2016-17 from 6175 beneficiaries. The top 5 States/UTs in terms of beneficiaries covered under Ujjawala scheme for rehabilitating victims of trafficking during 2018-19 were Maharashtra, Assam, Odisha, Karnataka and Manipur.

There were 925 beneficiaries covered under Ujjawala scheme for rehabilitating victims of trafficking in Maharashtra during 2018-19. It accounted 16.8% of the total beneficiaries covered under the same in India during 2018-19. The number of beneficiaries covered under Ujjawala scheme for rehabilitating victims of trafficking was 850 in Assam during 2018-19, which accounted 15.5% of the total beneficiaries covered under the same in India. There were 700 beneficiaries covered under Ujjawala scheme for rehabilitating victims of trafficking in Odisha during 2018-19. It accounted 12.7% of the total beneficiaries covered under the same in India during 2018-19.

During 2018-19, the number of beneficiaries covered under Ujjawala scheme for rehabilitating victims of trafficking was 616 and 400 in Karnataka and Manipur respectively. Karnataka and Manipur accounted for 11.2% and 7.3% of the total beneficiaries covered under Ujjawala scheme for rehabilitating victims of trafficking in India during 2018-19.
