State/UT-wise Beds available in Public Health Facilities in India as on 20th July 2018

As on 20th July 2018, there were 7,39,024 beds in public health facilities in India. The top 5 States/UTs with respect to number of beds available in public health facilities in India as on 20.07.2018 were Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka.

The number of beds available in public health facilities of Tamil Nadu was 72,616 as on 20th July 2018, which accounted 9.83% of the total beds available in public health facilities in India. There were 68,998 beds in public health facilities of Maharashtra as on 20.07.2018. It accounted 9.34% of the total beds available in public health facilities in India as on the same period. The number of beds available in public health facilities of Andhra Pradesh was 60,799 as on 20th July 2018, which accounted 8.23% of the total beds available in public health facilities in India.

There were 58,310 and 56,333 beds in public health facilities of Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka respectively as on 20th July 2018. Uttar Pradesh accounted for 7.89% and Karnataka accounted for 7.62% of the total beds available in public health facilities in India as on 20.07.2018.
