State/UT-wise Babies Diagnosed with Congenital Syphilis during 2019-20

The top 5 States/UTs with respect to babies diagnosed with congenital syphilis in India during 2019-20 were Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Jharkhand and Karnataka.

The number of babies diagnosed with congenital syphilis was 1,535, 916, 425, 408 and 362 in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Jharkhand and Karnataka respectively during 2019-20. There were 20, 226, 134, 8 and 17 babies diagnosed with congenital syphilis in urban areas of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Jharkhand and Karnataka respectively during 2019-20. There were 1,515, 690, 291, 400 and 345 babies diagnosed with congenital syphilis in rural areas of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Jharkhand and Karnataka respectively during 2019-20.
