State/UT-wise AYUSH Registered Unani Practitioners (Doctors) in India as on 1st January, 2018

There were 51110 AYUSH registered Unani practitioners (Doctors) in India as on 1st January, 2018. The top 5 States/UTs with respect to AYUSH registered Unani practitioners (Doctors) as on 01-01-2018 were Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, West Bengal and Telangana.

The number of AYUSH registered Unani practitioners (Doctors) was 13884 in Uttar Pradesh as on 01-01-2018; which accounted 27.16% of the total AYUSH Unani practitioners (Doctors) registered in India. There were 7123 AYUSH registered Unani practitioners (Doctors) in Bihar as on 1st January, 2018. It accounted 13.94% of the total AYUSH Unani practitioners (Doctors) registered in India as on 01-01-2018. The number of AYUSH registered Unani practitioners (Doctors) was 7000 in Maharashtra as on 1st January, 2018; which accounted 13.7% of the total AYUSH Unani practitioners (Doctors) registered in India.

As on 1st January 2018, there were 5215 and 4762 AYUSH registered Unani practitioners (Doctors) in West Bengal and Telangana respectively. West Bengal accounted for 10.2% and Telangana accounted for 9.32% of the total AYUSH Unani practitioners (Doctors) registered in India as on 01-01-2018.

These aforementioned top 5 states accounted for 74.32% of the total AYUSH Unani practitioners (Doctors) registered in India as a whole as on 1st January 2018.
