State/UT-wise AYUSH Registered Ayurveda Practitioners (Doctors) in India as on 1st January, 2018

There were 443704 AYUSH registered Ayurveda practitioners (Doctors) in India as on 1st January, 2018. The top 5 States/UTs with respect to AYUSH registered Ayurveda practitioners (Doctors) as on 01-01-2018 were Bihar, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka.

The number of AYUSH registered Ayurveda practitioners (Doctors) was 96841 in Bihar as on 01-01-2018; which accounted 21.83% of the total AYUSH Ayurveda practitioners (Doctors) registered in India. There were 79200 AYUSH registered Ayurveda practitioners (Doctors) in Maharashtra as on 1st January, 2018. It accounted 17.85% of the total AYUSH Ayurveda practitioners (Doctors) registered in India as on 01-01-2018. The number of AYUSH registered Ayurveda practitioners (Doctors) was 46981 in Madhya Pradesh as on 1st January, 2018; which accounted 10.59% of the total AYUSH Ayurveda practitioners (Doctors) registered in India.

As on 1st January 2018, there were 37262 and 35886 AYUSH registered Ayurveda practitioners (Doctors) in Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka respectively. Uttar Pradesh accounted for 8.4% and Karnataka accounted for 8.09% of the total AYUSH Ayurveda practitioners (Doctors) registered in India as on 01-01-2018.

These aforesaid top 5 states accounted for 66.75% of the total AYUSH Ayurveda practitioners (Doctors) registered in India as a whole as on 1st January 2018.
