There was total asset creation of 7,322,081 during 2019-20 and 3,589,542 during 2020-21 under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) in India. The top 10 States/UTs with respect to assets created under MGNREGS during 2020-21 were West Bengal, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Odisha and Jharkhand.
The number of assets created in West Bengal, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Odisha and Jharkhand was 842728, 393720, 367470, 315610, 208664, 207502, 177223, 168253, 155051 and 146468 respectively under MGNREGS during 2020-21.
