State/UT-wise Allopathic General Duty Medical Officers in Position at CHCs As on 31st March 2018

There were 17,019 allopathic General Duty Medical Officers (GDMOs) in position at Community Health Centres (CHCs) in India as on 31st March 2018. The top 5 States/UTs with respect to allopathic GDMOs in position at CHCs as on 31-03-2018 were Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Kerala and Madhya Pradesh.

The number of allopathic GDMOs in position at CHCs of Tamil Nadu was 4,942 as on 31st March 2018, which accounted 29.04% of the total allopathic GDMOs in position at CHCs in India. There were 1,150 allopathic GDMOs in position at CHCs in Rajasthan as on 31.03.2018. It accounted 6.76% of the total allopathic GDMOs in position at CHCs in India as on the same period. The number of allopathic GDMOs in position at CHCs of West Bengal was 1,150 as on 31-03-2018, which accounted 6.76% of the total allopathic GDMOs in position at CHCs in India.

As on 31st March 2018, there were 1,019 and 881 allopathic GDMOs in position at CHCs in Kerala and Madhya Pradesh respectively. Kerala accounted for 5.99% and Madhya Pradesh accounted for 5.18% of the total allopathic GDMOs in position at CHCs in India as on 31.03.2018.
