The Ministry has signed strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) with the private partners like job portals, placement organizations and reputed institutions for maximizing the reach of the National Career Service (NCS) project. These MoUs have been instrumental in providing increased access to the youth for a vast variety of employment opportunities across the country.
The total number of beneficiaries (Job-Seekers) in India was 10281499 under National Career Service Project as on 31.01.2019. The top 5 States in term of number of beneficiaries (Job-Seekers) under National Career Service Project as on 31.01.2019 were Maharashtra, West Bengal, Bihar, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
The number of beneficiaries (Job-Seekers) in Maharashtra was 3587470 under National Career Service Project as on 31.01.2019, which accounted 34.89% of the total number of beneficiaries (Job-Seekers) as on same period. The number of beneficiaries (Job-Seekers) under National Career Service Project was 2196616 in West Bengal as on 31.01.2019, which accounted 21.36% of total number of beneficiaries (Job-Seekers) as on 31.01.2019. The number of beneficiaries (Job-Seekers) in Bihar was 978187 under National Career Service Project as on 31.01.2019. It accounted 9.51% of the total number of beneficiaries (Job-Seekers) under National Career Service Project as on 31.01.2019. The number of beneficiaries (Job-Seekers) was 662370 in Rajasthan and 403496 in Uttar Pradesh under National Career Service Project as on 31.01.2019, which accounted 6.44% and 3.92% of the total number of beneficiaries (Job-Seekers) under National Career Service Project as on same period.
