Staff Strength of Scheduled Private Airlines from 2007-08 to 2016-17

Staff Strength of Scheduled Private Airlines was 21313 during 2007-08. It has decreased by -11.73% to 18813 during 2008-09 over 2007-08. Out of the total 21313 staffs during 2007-08; 1745 (8.19%) were Pilots & Co-Pilots, 5626 (26.4%) were Other Flight Personnel, 3231 (15.16%) were Maintenance and Overhaul Personnel, 2262 (10.61%) were Ticketing and Sales Personnel and 8449 (39.64%) were others. Out of the total 18813 staffs during 2008-09; Pilots & Co-Pilots, Other Flight Personnel, Maintenance and Overhaul Personnel, Ticketing and Sales Personnel and others were 1710 (9.09%), 5272 (28.02%), 3064 (16.29%), 1253 (6.66%) and 7514 (39.94%) respectively.

We have observed annual growth of 16.24% in Staff Strength of Scheduled Private Airlines during 2015-16 over 2014-15 from 34168. Staff Strength of Scheduled Private Airlines was 44790 during 2016-17, up by 12.77% versus 39717 during 2015-16. Out of the total 39717 staffs during 2015-16; Pilots & Co-Pilots, Other Flight Personnel, Maintenance and Overhaul Personnel, Ticketing and Sales Personnel and others were 4553 (11.46%), 9491 (23.9%), 4793 (12.07%), 2471 (6.22%) and 18409 (46.35%) respectively. Out of the total 44790 staffs during 2016-17; 5508 (12.3%) were Pilots & Co-Pilots, 11058 (24.69%) were Other Flight Personnel, 4953 (11.06%) were Maintenance and Overhaul Personnel, 2567 (5.73%) were Ticketing and Sales Personnel and 20704 (46.22%) were others.

Compound annual growth rate of 8.6% has been seen in Staff Strength of Scheduled Private Airlines during the period under consideration. We have found maximum annual growth rate of 51.47% in 2010-11 in Staff Strength of Scheduled Private Airlines during the period under consideration.
