This chart shows information about the sector-wise domestic steel consumption in the country from 2020-21 to 2022-23 (as on 31-03-2023). The total domestic steel consumption was 119.9 million tonnes in the country. The highest domestic steel consumotion was 51.8 million tonnes in building and construction. The lowest domestic steel consumption was 1.1 million tonnes in defence.
