Schools Affiliated with CBSE upto May 2016

The number of schools affiliated with CBSE in India was 17093 upto May 2016. The top 10 States/UTs in terms of the number of schools affiliated with CBSE were: Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Kerala, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Bihar and Maharashtra upto May 2016.

The number of schools affiliated with CBSE in Uttar Pradesh was 2344 upto May 2016. It accounted for 13.71% of the number of schools affiliated with CBSE in India upto May 2016.

The number of schools affiliated with CBSE in Delhi was 2026 upto May 2016. It accounted for 11.85% of the number of schools affiliated with CBSE in India upto May 2016. The number of schools affiliated with CBSE in Haryana was 1309 upto May 2016. It accounted for 7.66% of the number of schools affiliated with CBSE in India upto May 2016.

The number of schools affiliated with CBSE in Kerala was 1292 upto May 2016. It accounted for 7.56% of the number of schools affiliated with CBSE in India upto May 2016. The number of schools affiliated with CBSE in Punjab was 1096 upto May 2016. It accounted for 6.41% of the number of schools affiliated with CBSE in India upto May 2016.

These top 5 States/UTs accounted for 47.19% of the total number of schools affiliated with CBSE in India as a whole upto May 2016.

The number of schools affiliated with CBSE in Madhya Pradesh was 991 upto May 2016 (5.8% of All India). The number of schools affiliated with CBSE in Rajasthan was 892 upto May 2016 (5.22% of All India). The number of schools affiliated with CBSE in Karnataka was 713 upto May 2016 (4.17% of All India). The number of schools affiliated with CBSE in Bihar was 702 upto May 2016 (4.11% of All India). The number of schools affiliated with CBSE in Maharashtra was 658 upto May 2016 (3.85% of All India).

The above mentioned top 10 States/UTs accounted for 70.34% of the total number of schools affiliated with CBSE in India as a whole upto May 2016.
