Scholarships Awarded to the Students under Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students during 2020-21

The “Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students” is awarded to candidates having poor economic backgrounds and parental income ceiling is upto Rs. 8 lacs per annum.
A total of 1,60,363 scholarships were awarded to the students during 2020-21 (22nd March 2021). Out of 1,60,363 scholarships, fresh scholarship to 78,111 students was under process and likely to be completed before 31/03/2021.
The top 5 states in terms of Scholarships awarded to the students under the Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students were Maharashtra, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, and Uttar Pradesh.
