Sanction of Smart Grid Projects under National Smart Grid Mission as on 12th December 2018

As on 12th December 2018, projects worth Rs. 915.8 crore was sanctioned to State utilities for smart grid projects under National Smart Grid Mission (NSGM).

Chandigarh, CED utility had been sanctioned with maximum of Rs. 241.49 crore for smart grid projects under NSGM as on 12th Dec 2018; followed by 2. Ranchi, JBVNL, 3. Congress Nagar, MSEDCL, 4. Rourkela, OPTCL, 5. Kochi, KSEB, 6. Amaravati, MSEDCL and 7. Chandigarh, CED(SD-5). Chandigarh, CED utility accounted for 26.37% of the total cost of smart grid projects under NSGM as on 12-12-2018. The amount sanctioned to Ranchi, JBVNL utility for smart grid projects under NSGM was Rs. 228.69 crore as on 12th Dec 2018; which accounted 24.97% of the total cost of smart grid projects under NSGM. There was sanction of Rs. 139.15 crore to Congress Nagar, MSEDCL utility for smart grid projects under NSGM as on 12-12-2018. It accounted 15.19% of the total cost of smart grid projects under NSGM as on 12th Dec 2018.

The amount of Rs. 96.97, 90.87, 90.05 and 28.58 crore was sanctioned to 3. Congress Nagar, MSEDCL, 4. Rourkela, OPTCL, 5. Kochi, KSEB, 6. Amaravati, MSEDCL and 7. Chandigarh, CED(SD-5) utility respectively for smart grid projects under NSGM as on 12th December 2018.
