Rural Habitations with Drinking Water Supply Affected by Fluoride as on 31.03.2016

The number of rural habitations with drinking water supply affected by fluoride in India was 10801 as on 31.03.2016. There were 11 states with more than 100 rural habitations having drinking water supply affected by fluoride viz. Rajasthan, West Bengal, Telangana, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Assam and Odisha as on 31.03.2016.

The number of rural habitations with drinking water supply affected by fluoride in Rajasthan was 6577 as on 31.03.2016. It had a share of 60.89% in the total number of rural habitations with drinking water supply affected by fluoride in India as on 31.03.2016.

The number of rural habitations with drinking water supply affected by fluoride in West Bengal was 990 as on 31.03.2016. It had a share of 9.17% in the total number of rural habitations with drinking water supply affected by fluoride in India as on 31.03.2016. The number of rural habitations with drinking water supply affected by fluoride in Telangana was 852 as on 31.03.2016. It had a share of 7.89% in the total number of rural habitations with drinking water supply affected by fluoride in India as on 31.03.2016.

The number of rural habitations with drinking water supply affected by fluoride in Karnataka was 607 as on 31.03.2016. It had a share of 5.62% in the total number of rural habitations with drinking water supply affected by fluoride in India as on 31.03.2016. The number of rural habitations with drinking water supply affected by fluoride in Andhra Pradesh was 391 as on 31.03.2016. It had a share of 3.62% in the total number of rural habitations with drinking water supply affected by fluoride in India as on 31.03.2016.
