Royalty Paid by Oil Companies on Production of Natural Gas during 2012-13 to 2017-18

Royalty paid by oil companies on production of natural gas was Rs. 224636 lakh in the year 2012-13. It has increased by 2.11% to Rs. 229384 lakh during 2013-14 above 2012-13. Out of total royalty paid during 2012-13; Rs. 12999 lakh (5.79%) was paid for western region, Rs. 15720 lakh (7%) was paid for eastern region, Rs. 17826 lakh (7.94%) was paid for southern region, Rs. 3978 lakh (1.77%) was paid for central region and Rs. 174113 lakh (77.51%) was paid for offshore. We have seen annual growth of 3.41% in royalty paid by oil companies on production of natural gas during 2015-16 over 2014-15 from Rs. 247258 lakh.

Annual decline of -23.17% has been observed in royalty paid by oil companies on production of natural gas during 2016-17 above 2015-16 from Rs. 255694 lakh. Royalty paid by oil companies on production of natural gas was Rs. 184453 lakh during 2017-18, down by -6.1% versus Rs. 196439 lakh during 2016-17. Out of total royalty paid during 2017-18; Rs. 17270 lakh (9.36%) was paid for western region, Rs. 16271 lakh (8.82%) was paid for eastern region, Rs. 13630 lakh (7.39%) was paid for southern region, Rs. 9996 lakh (5.42%) was paid for central region and Rs. 127286 lakh (69.01%) was paid for offshore.

Maximum amount of Rs. 255694 lakh found in 2015-16 in royalty paid by oil companies on production of natural gas during the period under consideration. Minimum amount of Rs. 184453 lakh seen in 2017-18 in royalty paid by oil companies on production of natural gas during the period under consideration.
