Road Over Bridges and Road Under Bridges Constructed by Indian Railways and Budget Allocated from 2014-15 to 2018-19

The number of Road Over Bridges (ROBs) and Road Under Bridges (RUBs) constructed was 1108 in 2014-15. It has decreased by -7.58% to 1024 during 2015-16 over 2014-15. Budget allocated for the construction of ROBs and RUBs was Rs. 1740 crores in 2014-15. It has increased by 23.22% to Rs. 2144 crores during 2015-16 over 2014-15.

We have observed decline of -35.2% in construction of ROBs and RUBs from 1395 during 2017-18 to 904 during 2018-19. Allocation of budget for the construction of ROBs and RUBs was Rs. 4637 crores during 2018-19, up by 15.93% versus Rs. 4000 crores during 2017-18.

Maximum annual growth of 32.23% has been seen in 2016-17 in construction of ROBs and RUBs during the period under consideration. Maximum annual growth of 43% has been found in 2016-17 in allocation of budget for the construction of ROBs and RUBs during the period under consideration.
