Release of Fund under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana from 2015-16 to 2017-18

The total release of fund was Rs. 15650.28 crores in India under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) during 2017-18 (as on 20.3.2018). The top 5 States/UTs with respect to fund released under PMGSY during 2017-18 (as on 20.3.2018) were Odisha, Jammu and Kashmir, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand.

Fund released for Odisha under PMGSY was Rs. 2147.8 crores during 2017-18 (as on 20.3.2018), up by 11.54% against Rs. 1925.67 crores during 2016-17. Odisha accounted 13.72% of the total fund released under PMGSY in India during 2017-18 (as on 20.3.2018). We have observed growth of 85.28% in release of fund for Jammu and Kashmir under PMGSY from Rs. 755.61 crores during 2016-17 to Rs. 1400 crores during 2017-18 (as on 20.3.2018). Jammu and Kashmir accounted 8.95% of the total fund released under PMGSY in India during 2017-18 (as on 20.3.2018). Fund released for Bihar was Rs. 2958.34 crores under PMGSY during 2016-17. It has decreased by -54.39% to Rs. 1349.31 crores during 2017-18 (as on 20.3.2018) versus during 2016-17. Bihar accounted 8.62% of the total fund released under PMGSY in India during 2017-18 (as on 20.3.2018).

Release of fund under PMGSY was Rs. 1294.63 crores for Madhya Pradesh and Rs. 1122.26 crores for Jharkhand during 2017-18 (as on 20.3.2018). We have seen growth of -34.6% and 36.93% in release of fund for Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand respectively during 2017-18 (as on 20.3.2018) above 2016-17.
