Release of Central Assistance to State Plan to Special Category States in 2015-16

The release of Central Assistance to State Plan (CASP) to all the Special Category States (SCS) in India was Rs. 26196.93 crores during 2015-16 upto 08.03.2016. The top 5 states in terms of the release of central assistance to state plan were: Assam, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Tripura and Himachal Pradesh during 2015-16 upto 08.03.2016.

The release of central assistance to state plan for Assam was Rs. 7335.08 crores during 2015-16 upto 08.03.2016. It was 28% of the release of central assistance to state plan to all the special category states in India during 2015-16 upto 08.03.2016. The release of central assistance to state plan for Jammu and Kashmir was Rs. 3885.51 crores during 2015-16 upto 08.03.2016. It was 14.83% of the release of central assistance to state plan to all the special category states in India during 2015-16 upto 08.03.2016. The release of central assistance to state plan for Uttarakhand was Rs. 3279.18 crores during 2015-16 upto 08.03.2016. It was 12.52% of the release of central assistance to state plan to all the special category states in India during 2015-16 upto 08.03.2016.

The release of central assistance to state plan for Tripura was Rs. 2618.83 crores during 2015-16 upto 08.03.2016. It was 10% of the release of central assistance to state plan to all the special category states in India during 2015-16 upto 08.03.2016. The release of central assistance to state plan for Himachal Pradesh was Rs. 2455.34 crores during 2015-16 upto 08.03.2016. It was 9.37% of the release of central assistance to state plan to all the special category states in India during 2015-16 upto 08.03.2016.

These top 5 states accounted for 74.72% of the total release of central assistance to state plan of all the special category states in India during 2015-16 upto 08.03.2016.

The release of central assistance to state plan for Arunachal Pradesh was Rs. 1474.4 crores during 2015-16 upto 08.03.2016 (5.63% of all the special category states in India). The release of central assistance to state plan for Manipur was Rs. 1428.15 crores during 2015-16 upto 08.03.2016 (5.45% of all the special category states in India). The release of central assistance to state plan for Meghalaya was Rs. 1212.17 crores during 2015-16 upto 08.03.2016 (4.63% of all the special category states in India). The release of central assistance to state plan for Nagaland was Rs. 1066.89 crores during 2015-16 upto 08.03.2016 (4.07% of all the special category states in India). The release of central assistance to state plan for Mizoram was Rs. 985.07 crores during 2015-16 upto 08.03.2016 (3.76% of all the special category states in India). The release of central assistance to state plan for Sikkim was Rs. 456.32 crores during 2015-16 upto 08.03.2016 (1.74% of all the special category states in India).
