Receipts of Railways from 1981-82 to 2013-14

The Gross Traffic Receipts of Railways was Rs. 3538.3 crores during the year 1981-82. The Miscellaneous Receipts of Railways was 89.5 crores during the year 1981-82.

The Gross Traffic Receipts of Railways was Rs. 13729.7 crores during the year 1991-92. It increased by 10191.4 crores as compared to the year 1981-82. In percentage terms, the growth was 288.03% during the period. The Miscellaneous Receipts of Railways was 383 crores during the year 1991-92. It increased by 293.5 crores as compared to the year 1981-82. In percentage terms, the growth was 327.93% during the period.

The Gross Traffic Receipts of Railways was Rs. 37837.6 crores during the year 2001-02. It increased by 24107.9 crores as compared to the year 1991-92. In percentage terms, the growth was 175.59% during the period. The Miscellaneous Receipts of Railways was 1520.2 crores during the year 2001-02. It increased by 1137.2 crores as compared to the year 1991-92. In percentage terms, the growth was 296.92% during the period.

The Gross Traffic Receipts of Railways was Rs. 104110.4 crores during the year 2011-12. It increased by 66272.8 crores as compared to the year 2001-02. In percentage terms, the growth was 175.15% during the period. The Miscellaneous Receipts of Railways was 2134.9 crores during the year 2011-12. It increased by 614.7 crores as compared to the year 2001-02. In percentage terms, the growth was 40.44% during the period.

The Gross Traffic Receipts of Railways was Rs. 139558.2 crores during the year 2013-14. It increased by 35447.8 crores as compared to the year 2011-12. In percentage terms, the growth was 34.05% during the period. The Miscellaneous Receipts of Railways was 3657 crores during the year 2013-14. It increased by 1522.1 crores as compared to the year 2011-12. In percentage terms, the growth was 71.3% during the period.
