India has witnessed an unstable trend in realisation of customs duties from petroleum products during 2012-13 to 2018-19. However, we have observed compound annual growth rate of 0.48% in realisation of customs duties from petroleum products during the period under consideration.
Realisation of customs duties from petroleum products was Rs. 5,040 crore in 2012-13. It has surged by 21.27% to Rs. 6,112 crore during 2013-14 above 2012-13. Annual growth of 39.64% has been seen in realisation of customs duties from petroleum products during 2017-18 from Rs. 2,934 crore during 2016-17. Realisation of customs duties from petroleum products was Rs. 5,187 crore in 2018-19, up by 26.6% against Rs. 4,097 crore during 2017-18.
The maximum annual growth rate of 39.64% has been found in 2017-18 in realisation of customs duties from petroleum products during the period under consideration.
