Quantity of Foodgrains Damaged which accrued in Godowns of Food Corporation of India from 2013-14 to 2017-18

The quantity of foodgrains damaged was 0.25 lakh tonne which accrued in godowns of Food Corporation of India (FCI) during 2013-14. It has declined by 24% to 0.19 lakh tonne during 2014-15 above 2013-14. We have observed annual increase of 200% in quantity of damaged foodgrains which accrued in godowns of FCI during 2016-17 from 0.03 lakh tonne during 2015-16. The quantity of foodgrains damaged was 0.027 lakh tonne which accrued in godowns of FCI during 2017-18, down by -70% against 0.09 lakh tonne during 2016-17.

Highest damaged foodgrains of 0.25 lakh tonne has been seen in 2013-14 and lowest damaged foodgrains of 0.027 lakh tonne has been found in 2017-18 during the period under consideration.
