Progress Update of Tamil Nadu Open Government Data Portal as on 29th February 2020

The Open Government Data Portal of Tamil Nadu https://data.tn.gov.in,  has been established  to provide collated access to the resources (data-sets/apps) under catalogs, published by different government departments  of Government of Tamil Nadu in structured machine readable format. The portal presently has 17,506 resources/datasets in 1055 Catalogs covering 60 Departments.

The data sets from the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services Directorate with respect to the Contact details of Officials, Livestock Census, the Beneficiaries Under National Livestock Insurance, Funds Allocated for Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services, have been updated in the portal.

Department of Public Libraries has provided the data sets consisting of the Stock of Books available in the libraries, Membership Fee details, Library Working Timings and the district wise number of Public Libraries in Tamil Nadu.

In addition, the datasets from the Directorate of Medical Education describing the statistics on the Number of In-Patients and Out-Patients, Number of Lab investigations done and Number of Deliveries including LSCS (Lower Segment Caesarean Section) happened in Tamil Nadu in the year 2018, have been updated.

The following visualizations were published as per the Statistical Hand Book 2018 of the Department of Economics and Statistics.

2. Time series data of Rainfall in Tamil Nadu as per Statistical Hand Book 2018.

3. Export of Fish and Fish Products in Tamil Nadu as per SHB 2018.
