Total production of vegetables in India was 183169.61 thousand tonnes during 2018-19 and 189463.97 thousand tonnes during 2019-20. The top 10 States with respect to production of vegetables in India were West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka during 2019-20. The production of vegetables was 28113.03, 26194.61, 19832.27, 16327.53, 13642.86, 13153.59, 8928.58, 7937.16, 7711.55 and 7519.51 thousand tonnes in West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka respectively during 2019-20.
