Production of Top 5 Products of Organic Chemicals during 2016-17

There were various Products namely Acetic Acid, Acetic Anhydride, Acetone, Phenol, Methanol, Formaldehyde, Nitrobenzene, Maleic Anhydride, Pentaerythritol, Aniline, Chloro Methanes, Isobutylbenzene, Oncb, Pncb, Mek, Acetaldehyde, Ethanolamines, Ethyl Acetate, Menthol and Ortho Nitro Toluene of Organic Chemicals were produced during 2009-10 to 2016-17. The top 5 Products of Organic Chemicals in terms of Production during 2016-17 were Ethyl Acetate, Formaldehyde, Chloro Methanes, Methanol and Acetic Acid.

Production of Ethyl Acetate was 170.482 thousand metric tonne during 2010-11, up by 15.82% from 147.198 thousand metric tonne during 2009-10. We have observed annual growth of 3.02% in Production of Ethyl Acetate to 371.273 thousand metric tonne during 2016-17 versus 360.402 thousand metric tonne during 2015-16. Production of Formaldehyde was 266.607 thousand metric tonne during 2010-11, up by 2.03% from 261.291 thousand metric tonne during 2009-10. We have observed annual growth of 0.87% in Production of Formaldehyde to 244.187 thousand metric tonne during 2016-17 versus 242.089 thousand metric tonne during 2015-16. Production of Chloro Methanes was 161.352 thousand metric tonne during 2010-11, up by 19.71% from 134.785 thousand metric tonne during 2009-10. We have observed annual growth of 0.6% in Production of Chloro Methanes to 221.509 thousand metric tonne during 2016-17 versus 220.181 thousand metric tonne during 2015-16.

Production of Methanol was 330.829 thousand metric tonne during 2009-10. It has increased by 13.21% to 374.53 thousand metric tonne during 2010-11 over 2009-10. Annual growth of 8.82% has been seen in Production of Methanol from 162.621 thousand metric tonne during 2015-16 to 176.959 thousand metric tonne during 2016-17. Production of Acetic Acid was 146.439 thousand metric tonne during 2009-10. It has increased by 6.85% to 156.476 thousand metric tonne during 2010-11 over 2009-10. Annual growth of 0.38% has been seen in Production of Acetic Acid from 157.906 thousand metric tonne during 2015-16 to 158.512 thousand metric tonne during 2016-17.
